I need to find a quilt pattern that is just random sized squares & rectangles. I'm pregnant & cant find the perfect crib Bedding so I decided to ask my grandma to make one for me. I bought some fabric of colors & prints that I liked & she said it was plenty but when I showed her a scetch I'd made it totally threw her off. She has made TONS of quilts over the years & I thought this would be a piece of cake. All her quilts & everything I find online seem to be too detailed. I don't want a design, I just want random sized squares or rectangles pieced together. I am having her add a baseball and a star here & there which she has no problem w. I have no idea what it takes to make a quilt (other than lots of hard work) so I dont understand why something as simple as squares seems so hard. Please help. thanks

My grandmother also tries to make them to fancy. I wanted a little crazy quilt. And two years later I got a wedding ring and double star reversible. Love it also but just wanted a little prim crazy.
