Coverlet Vs Comforter

Find one good metaphor to represent your loving relationship at your wedding ceremony (Remember that Metaphors don't use as or like.) So you could say that your Love is a warm comforter that warms and protects you. You spend (if you're smart!) a third of your life in your bed -- sleeping and being passionate. A quilt is a good thing to have! That image will live in your soul forever. Use it close to your wedding vows and let the metaphor keep reminding you what you felt like on the day you made your promises to one another.

Some qualities make a metaphor better able to support you as time goes on:

Comfort is one of them! The image should be comfortable. It should soothe and relax you.

You want an image that resonates with who you are (as individuals and as a couple!) and empowers you to continue to deepen and strengthen your marriage

Metaphors that work are simple, attractive and don't unsettle you. They should invite you. If your love is like a warm blanket, then every time you and your beloved get into bed and pull a particular blanket up over you, perhaps a coverlet you received as part of your wedding gifts, you're reinforcing the image you generated at your wedding. All of the blessings of the marriage bed are in that simple action of pulling up the covers and snuggling in.

Find an image to use that will serve you throughout the life of your marriage. Choose a metaphor that will become more rather than less comfortable. You want a metaphor that will wear in, rather than out, as it gets more use. You want the same from your marriage!

Bottom Line?: Give your relationship the chance it deserves to succeed wildly, against all odds! After all, you deserve it. Your relationship deserves it!
