Baby doll was left outside in pram, makeshift counter(stool), with cans of peas, beans stacked behind. Assistant, dressed in overall(mama's gingham blouse)jotting down prices on notepad with pencil.Mental arithmetic, packing into basket, exchanging niceties, oh my, the memories....(baby still waiting outside even 15 mins later!)
Oh dear, you asre making me all nostalgic, just thinking of my dollies pram with covers and all, playing shop, bits if broken bricks and slates, a few sweets, pretend money. Now kids have plastic food to sell and real scales and everything, maybe they even have credit cards too...
